regarding the mitochondrial metabolic abnormalities associated with acute-on-chronic
liver failure (ACLF). This follows on from several important earlier articles describing
the metabolic abnormalities associated with acute decompensation (AD) and ACLF.
The authors are to be congratulated on the size of their cohort, but we suggest that
the quality of their statistical analysis could be improved, further enhancing the
impact of their important article.
